Your driver collects you from your Hurghada hotel and takes you to the submarine pier. A guide is with you for the visit and helps you board.

The yellow Sindbad submarine goes down to about 22 meters (72 feet). For roughly 50 minutes you sit by the large windows and look out at coral formations, schools of colorful fish and, with a little luck, rays, moray eels and turtles. You do not need to swim or dive, and you can take photos through the glass.

After the submarine returns to the surface you have a few minutes at the pier, then your driver takes you back to your hotel.

Do I need to swim or dive?

No. You sit inside the submarine and look out through large windows, so you stay dry the whole time. No swimming, snorkeling or diving skills are needed, which is why it works well for non-swimmers.

What will we see underwater?

Expect coral reefs and plenty of reef fish, and with some luck rays, moray eels and sea turtles. What you spot depends on the day and the sea conditions, but the reef is the star in any case.

How long is the whole outing?

The underwater part is about 50 minutes. Counting the drive from your hotel to the pier, boarding and the return, plan on roughly three to four hours, depending on where your hotel is in Hurghada.

Can I take photos from inside?

Yes. Phone and camera photos through the windows work well. Hold the lens close to the glass to cut down on reflections, switch off the flash, and keep your hands steady while the submarine moves slowly past the reef.

Is it suitable for children?
