Hurghada to Luxor: Valley of the Kings, Hatshepsut Temple and Colossi of Memnon
Your driver and guide collect you from your hotel early in the morning for the drive of about four hours through the Eastern Desert to Luxor.
Cross to the West Bank and walk down into three tombs of the Valley of the Kings, their walls still bright with the texts meant to guide the pharaohs through the afterlife. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, built in terraces against the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari, and stop for photos at the Colossi of Memnon.
After lunch at a local restaurant, check in to your 5-star hotel. The evening is yours.

Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple and the drive back to Hurghada
After breakfast, visit Karnak Temple, the largest temple complex of ancient Egypt, and walk through its Great Hypostyle Hall. Then follow the Avenue of Sphinxes to Luxor Temple, built by Amenhotep III and enlarged by Ramesses II.
After lunch, drive back to Hurghada, arriving at your hotel in the early evening.

Why two days instead of a day trip?
A day trip spends about eight hours driving and leaves little time at the sites. With a night in Luxor you see the West Bank and the East Bank without rushing, and visit Karnak in the cooler morning.
Can I add a hot-air balloon ride?
Yes. The balloon flies at sunrise on the second morning, before breakfast. Ask us for the price when you book.
