Hurghada to Aswan: High Dam, Unfinished Obelisk and Philae Temple
Early pick-up from your Hurghada hotel for the drive south to Aswan, about six to seven hours.
Start at the Aswan High Dam, which holds back Lake Nasser, then see the Unfinished Obelisk, still lying in the granite quarry where it cracked. A motorboat takes you to the island of Philae Temple, dedicated to the goddess Isis and moved stone by stone to save it from the rising water.
After a late lunch, check in to your 5-star hotel.

Felucca ride and Nubian village, then back to Hurghada
After breakfast, sail by felucca past Elephantine Island and Kitchener's Island, then continue by motorboat to a Nubian village for tea in a family home.
Lunch in Aswan, then drive back to Hurghada, arriving in the evening.
Optional: with the Abu Simbel add-on, the second day starts before dawn with the drive to the temples of Ramesses II and Nefertari, and you return to Hurghada later that night.
